Six Year Post Op Appreciation ♥️

Hello all, about time I post something after months of half started blogs (I write for the 158th time) If this post ends up on your feed it’s a Christmas miracle.

Today marks 6 years since my brain tumour biopsy at Addenbrookes. I genuinely cannot believe it has been 6 years already, the time has just flown by and so much has happened. This isn’t a post to babble on though, more so just to show my appreciation for life itself and how truly lucky I am.

I’m sure we can all agree it’s been one hell of a year. Life has thrown some huge curveballs my way this year for sure. Instagram may have painted the perfect picture of jet setting during a pandemic, but Covid has caused quite the crisis in this family. Please don’t be alarmed there hasn’t been any positive cases (that I know of). I’m talking about the stigma that is mental health.

The journey for me 6 years ago and the journey now may not be the same, but the destination certainly is. I always strive to do my best and hope that the people around me are proud. In order for me to do that I’ve learnt that I need to surround myself with those that support me the most and want to see me achieve. At the moment we are in our bubbles etc, we should only be encouraging one another and lifting spirits up. Choose to be around those that are good for your mental states, it will make a huge difference.

These past few weeks I have been feeling ill, especially today; feeling rather sorry for myself (you know how it goes). But after taking some time to reflect I came to the realisation that so many lives have been lost this year, so many young lives taken away far too soon every year due to brain tumours and all of the other horrendous cancers. I might have it bad right now, but someone always has it worse, so just be grateful and enjoy all of the little moments in life.

On that note, I would like to dedicate this blog to all that have lost their lives to COVID. May 2021 be a better year! Have a lovely Christmas and New Year all if I don’t get around to writing another post before♥️
